I was honored to be personally invited by Sudha Jamthe to join as the Europe Panel Leader and Speaker for the IoTWoman-2025 event, hosted by the Business School of AI.

This invitation marks a significant milestone in our journey to blend cutting‐edge technological insights with rigorous regulatory foresight.

Imagine traversing the globe in the span of a single day — 24 hours spent gleaning insights from 24 extraordinary women reshaping the frontiers of technology. That’s precisely what this multifaceted event achieved, convening luminaries from South Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Americas in a continuous marathon of mind-expanding panels.

The event brings together pioneering voices from across the globe to explore how AI and IoT can be harnessed responsibly, with a keen focus on redefining the boundaries of innovation and regulation.

Thought-provoking discussions touched upon career secrets in emerging tech fields, the power of Impact Virtualization and the Physical Environment, cutting-edge AI research, and so much more — each conversation ignited fresh inspiration for participants and audience alike.

Just aired on #SudhaLive — a brief spotlight from April 04, 2025, on what’s coming next from the Europe AI Panel at #IoTDay2025, hosted by the Business School of AI.

You’ll find me joining the livestream at 5:40 (on LinkedIn), sharing what our Europe Panel is all about for #IoTWoman 2025.

On April 09, 2025, at 9:00 AM CET, our panel will dive into one of the most urgent questions of our era:
— How do we govern AI and IoT in a world where innovation outpaces regulation?

From democratic systems and space law to media ethics, decentralized economies, and public sector transformation — we’re not simply reacting to the present.

We’re building the legal and ethical infrastructure for tomorrow.

— As a Leader and Speaker of the Europe Panel, I gave a preview of my academic research on Regulating AI Creations Beyond the Planet.

Because when AI systems operate beyond Earth — on the Moon or in orbit — we need new answers: Who owns AI-generated data in space? What laws apply when no flag is planted?

Through our work at the Global AI Center POLLYPRIANY, we’ve proposed global frameworks, presented twice this year at the United Nations, and launched new academic institutes for space law, eco-cybersecurity, and advanced IP ethics.

We’re not only asking what AI can do —
We’re defining what it should do.

Law Beyond Earth: a proACTIVE Vision for AI Governance

On April 9, 2025, at the Europe Panel, I had the honour of speaking on a topic that is as daring as it is essential: Artificial Intelligence, Space Law, and the reshaping of Intellectual Property in orbit and beyond.

In an era where machines not only support us but act on our behalf — drafting blueprints, discovering resources, and navigating Mars unaided — we are compelled to ask: Who owns creation in the absence of humanity? And more urgently, what happens when creation becomes exploitation?

From the legal lacunae around AI authorship in space to the chilling emergence of Dark AI as a vector for cyberwarfare in extraterrestrial settings, the questions are no longer theoretical. They’re now constitutional.

Representing the Global AI Center POLLYPRIANY, I laid out a legal framework that is proactive, not reactive — one rooted in equity, transparency, and foresight.

Proposals included:

— Lex Data Spatialis — a sui generis doctrine for space-born data,

— the certificat d’origine for IP in zero gravity,

— enforceable liability bonds, and

— blockchain-enabled Space IP Ledger to preserve provenance and prevent digital appropriation.

This is not about coding policy for science fiction — it’s about constitutional jurisprudence that meets the velocity of technology.

Let us not wait for the headlines from cosmos to make the laws we needed yesterday.

AMERICAS Panel

In this whirlwind of knowledge exchange, an open roundtable bridged geographical boundaries, offering a riveting blend of perspectives on AI skill development, gender considerations in technology, and evolving best practices in governance. Panel after panel revealed a shared global vision: a future where AI and IoT advance society in a manner that is both inclusive and accountable.

The breadth of experiences and expertise illuminated an interconnected global community, setting a bold precedent for how we approach these emerging fields.

None of this would have been possible without the visionary leadership of Sudha Jamthe and Roxy Stimpson, who co-organized and co-founded this remarkable initiative. Their unyielding commitment to elevating women’s voices in AI and IoT — across continents, industries, and disciplines—underpinned every moment of this marathon event. By curating Americas panel that ran the gamut from law and policy to the practical realities of edge computing, they created a platform that was as comprehensive as it was exhilarating. Their collaborative spirit and dedication to fostering dialogue deserve our heartfelt gratitude, leaving us energized for what’s next.
